The latest chapter is playing out in Florida, where Democrat candidate Pam Keith is attacking the DSCC for their efforts to crown Privileged Patrick Murphy as the party’s nominee. As Politico‘s Morning Score reports:
-
On Murphy: "The DSCC chooses Patrick … pushes him upon us, endorses him out of the box … for the purpose of intimidating and pushing everybody out of his way. We ought to be the ones picking our candidates, not people in D.C. That strategy has proven to be not particularly helpful to Patrick."
- On the DSCC: "The DSCC doesn’t take my calls."
Today’s news is just the latest installment in the Democrat civil war that is taking place across the country. In states like Illinois, Pennsylvania, and Ohio, national Democrats continue to alienate their own party by picking sides in bruising primary fights.
FLASHBACK:
- Politico: "The DSCC’s decision to endorse Duckworth roiled Democrats in the state especially since the committee didn’t even interview Zopp beforehand."
- Chicago Tribune: "Zopp said she was ‘saddened and shocked that the DSCC would issue an endorsement without even interviewing me’ and accused the group of displaying ‘total insensitivity to Chicago, African-American women and the democratic process.’"
- Chicago Sun-Times: "Rev. Jesse Jackson slams Senate Dems for backing Duckworth over Zopp"
As they witness their support turn into a liability in state after state, it’s no wonder the DSCC refuses to endorse Ann Kirkpatrick in Arizona.
