Under Senate Democrats’ Failed Policies Average U.S. Gas Price Tops $4 Nationwide
Washington, D.C. – Average gas prices in the U.S. topped $4 per gallon for the first time in over a decade, and Senate Democrats’ failed, anti-energy policies are to blame. Instead of working to enhance America’s energy independence, Catherine Cortez Masto and her colleagues have joined together to kill domestic oil and gas production.
Thanks to Cortez Masto, Nevadans today are paying an average of $4.59 per gallon – a price far higher than the nationwide average – and $0.56 higher than they were paying just one week ago. Cortez Masto’s only so-called solution to these price hikes is a plan that “would not save Nevadans a cent.” Perhaps she should’ve thought about the damage her support for anti-energy policies would have on Nevadans’ wallets?
