Starbucks Closing Stores in Seattle “Over Safety Concerns,” Patty Murray Nowhere to Be Found

Washington, D.C. – Skyrocketing crime nationwide – caused in part by the Democrats’ crazy and dangerous “defund the police” agenda – is not just a public safety issue for voters. It’s becoming an economic issue as well. Here’s what’s happening in Washington State:

In the words of one Starbucks employee after learning her store would close: “I just feel helpless.” Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz explains how dire the situation is:

Where is Patty Murray on this? As has come to be expected by Washington State voters, nowhere to be found. One reason the three-decade incumbent may be staying silent on crime is her horrible record on the issue:

  • Nearly one year ago, Murray voted against a measure to limit or prohibit taxpayer dollars going to local governments whose district attorneys “direct its prosecutors to not prosecute certain violent or serious offense that results in damage or injury to property of any other person.”

  • Murray also voted not just once, but TWICE, against a measure to prevent criminals in prison from receiving stimulus checks, leading to nearly $1 billion being sent to those criminals.

  • Murray even voted twice against a measure to prevent those who have been convicted of a riot-related offense from receiving taxpayer-funded assistance.

No wonder Patty is panicking and going negative on Tiffany Smiley who continues to “gain ground” on the career politician.
