Washington, D.C. – Prices across the country rose a staggering 6.8% in November compared to a year ago, hitting a 40-year high! That number includes a 6.1% increase in the price of gasoline last month, as the Christmas season heats up.

Americans are feeling the pain in their pocketbooks and are pointing the finger at Washington Democrats and President Biden. According to new CNBC polling, Biden’s approval rating has sunk all the way to 41%. On the economy, it’s even worse. Only 37% of Americans approve of his handling of the economy.

This failure in the eyes of the public has rubbed off on Democrats down ballot. The same CNBC poll found that Republicans have a 10-point advantage on the generic ballot: 44%-34%, a 2-point bump for the GOP since last month, and the largest lead for the party in the poll’s 20-year history.

If you thought this wave of bad data would cause the White House to rethink its policies and strategy, you’d be wrong. Instead, they have developed a new plan of blaming the media. Senior officials in the Administration have been working overtime to convince people that they are the victims of a vicious press corps that just want to tear down President Biden. This is obviously laughable and the clearest sign yet that the White House is wildly out of touch with the American people.

Statement from NRSC Spokesman T.W. Arrighi: “Inflation is out of control, Congress is making it worse, and the only people who haven’t figured that out work in the White House. Democrats are causing prices on everyday goods, like gas and groceries, to skyrocket, and it’s hitting American families where it hurts. It’s not the media’s fault, it’s not transitory and it’s not a high-class problem. It’s a real-world problem for hard-working American families and now it’s a political problem for Democrats, whose entire agenda is built on inflation-inducing government spending.”
