Washington, D.C. – Biden’s border crisis continues to get worse and there’s no end in sight. But his border crisis wasn’t created overnight. It’s a culmination of failed policy after failed policy mixed with support from Senate Democrats.

Here’s the timeline of failures that got us to this point:

  • March 2021: Senate Democrats vote to send stimulus checks to illegal immigrants.

  • April 2021: Biden’s Department of Defense announced that it’s canceling border wall contracts.

  • April 2021: Biden agrees with a protester on abolishing ICE.

  • May 2021: The Biden Administration says Americans “don’t care” about the unprecedented border crisis Biden created.

  • May 2021: Senate Democrats vote against Sen. Ron Johnson’s amendment to force Biden to continue border wall construction.

  • May 2021: The number of illegal immigrants released by ICE quadruples since Biden took office.

  • June 2021: Biden’s border Czar announces private sector investments in Central America.

  • July 2021: Senate Democrats announce that they support amnesty for millions of illegal immigrants.

  • July 2021: CBP announces that 210,000 illegal immigrants were apprehended at the Southern Border, the highest one-month total in 20 years.

  • August 2021: Senate Democrats once again vote against an amendment from Sen. Ron Johnson that would force Biden to continue wall construction.

  • August 2021: Biden announces that he’s sending millions of tax dollars to corrupt Central American countries.

  • August 2021: The Biden Administration privately admits that they created a crisis at the Southern Border.

  • August 2021: Illegal border crossings totaled 208,887 – a 317% increase from the previous year.

  • August 2021: Senate Democrats vote to end Title 42.

  • October 2021: Illegal border crossings reach 1.7 million in FY ’21. The most ever recorded in a single year.

  • October 2021: Liberals in the Biden Administration block a plan to prevent a known surge of illegal immigrants, resulting in 25,000 migrants flooding the border in the span of a few weeks.

  • October 2021: Democrat Senators continue to deny that there is a crisis at the Southern Border.

  • December 2021: 178,840 illegal immigrants are apprehended at the Southern Border. The most apprehensions in December in U.S. history.

  • December 2021: Senate Democrats vote to confirm a border crisis denier to lead CBP.

  • January 2022: 153,941 illegal immigrants are apprehended at the Southern Border compared to 78,414 in January 2021.

  • February 2022: 165,000 illegal immigrants are apprehended at the Southern Border, bringing the total number of illegal crossings to over 2 million since Joe Biden took office.

  • February 2022: Data shows that deportations fell sharply in FY ’21.

  • March 2022: Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security announces a new rule that puts bureaucrats in charge of asylum claims.

  • March 2022: Joe Biden announces that he’s ending Title 42 which allowed the government to swiftly turn illegal immigrants away.

  • March 2022: 221,000 illegal immigrants are apprehended at the Southern Border. The highest one-month total since Biden took office.

Make no mistake, this timeline of epic failures wouldn’t be possible if Joe Biden didn’t have the full support of Senate Democrats. They blocked common-sense border security measures, voted to end Title 42, and backed Joe Biden’s amnesty and open borders agenda. In a 50-50 Senate, it would only take one Senate Democrat to stand up and say, “enough is enough.”

Unfortunately, Senate Democrats like Mark Kelly, Maggie Hassan, Raphael Warnock, Catherine Cortez Masto, and Michael Bennet have been too cowardly to stand up to Joe Biden. Their cowardice has gotten us to this point, and it’s only going to get worse. They made their bed, now they have to lie in it.
