Do Vulnerable Senate Democrats Still Want Biden on the Campaign Trail?
Washington, D.C. – Joe Biden’s approval rating is sliding into treacherous territory. A recent Reuters/Ipsos poll has Biden’s approval at just 36%, while 59% disapprove. That’s a 6-point drop from just one week ago and the lowest approval rating of Biden’s presidency. He’s so bad at his job that only 72% of his own party approves of his job performance.
Despite his awful approval rating, vulnerable Senate Democrats say they want Biden to campaign for them. Maggie Hassan said Biden is “always welcome in New Hampshire” and Catherine Cortez Masto called Biden an “important ally.” This latest poll raises an important question: how low can Biden go before vulnerable Senate Democrats stop inviting him to their states?
Joe Biden said he’ll be “deeply involved” in the midterms. Hopefully, that means he’ll make frequent stops in Arizona, New Hampshire, Nevada, Georgia, and Colorado.
