If it weren’t enough that Secret Service reports quickly disproved Senator Tester’s allegation that Rear Admiral Ronny Jackson — who President Trump nominated to head the VA — once banged on a female colleagues door late in the evening until agents removed him, new reports now also show that there is “no evidence” Rear Admiral Ronny Jackson ever wrecked a vehicle after a night of drinking as alleged in Senator Tester’s now infamous memo.
The Washington Post reports that officials “had conducted a thorough review of presidential physician Ronny L. Jackson’s vehicle records and found three minor incidents but no evidence that he ‘wrecked’ a car after drinking at a Secret Service going-away party as was alleged in a document released by Senate Democrats this week.”
In other words, Senator Tester lied – at least twice – about a decorated serviceman who earned the trust and respect of three presidents from both parties and didn’t even care to check if he had the facts right before publishing them. The move amounts to a colossal misstep that’s brought tough rebukes from President Trump and pitted Tester against the President who won in his state by 20 points.
“Senator Tester should be ashamed of himself for peddling outright lies about a distinguished veteran just to score political points with his far-left base,” said NRSC Spokesman Calvin Moore. “If Senator Tester thinks he can pretend to cozy up to Trump in television ads while in Washington doing whatever Chuck Schumer wants, including slandering a well-respected serviceman, he has another thing coming. Voters won’t forget these stunts come November.”
