After Taking Contributions from Nord Stream Lobbyist, Murray Voted Against Sanctions for Russian Pipeline
Washington, D.C. – Gas prices, electricity prices and home heating prices have skyrocketed in Washington State. And Joe Biden and Patty Murray are to blame for killing America’s energy independence.
While she has no problem giving away our country’s energy independence, she has been a key partner for Russian President Vladimir Putin and his goal to have an energy chokehold on Europe. Let’s take a trip down memory lane:
- MARCH 2021: Vladimir Putin started amassing troops along the border with Ukraine.
- JUNE 2021: A notable Democrat lobbyist made maximum campaign contributions to Murray.
- DECEMBER 2021: Axios reports that this lobbyist works for Nord Stream 2, the Russian-backed natural gas pipeline into Europe, that garnered bipartisan opposition.
- JANUARY 2022: Murray voted AGAINST sanctions on Russia’s Nord Stream 2 pipeline. We all know what happened shortly afterward: Russia began their brutal invasion of Ukraine.
It just took maximum campaign contributions from a lobbyist, but Patty Murray was Putin’s pipeline partner until it was too late.
