Heidi Heitkamp continues to rely on liberals from California, New York City and DC to fund her campaign, taking 86% of her Q1 donations from out-of-state donors. Her reliance on out-of-state donors is out of necessity, as poll after poll has shown her popularity plummeting among North Dakota voters who are sick and tired of her failures to put them first.
Heitkamp’s ridiculously high out-of-state fundraising number follows a pattern she established in 2017, when 94% of the money she raised came from places other than North Dakota. After Heitkamp has consistently failed to support the policies North Dakotans want and instead backed liberal Democrats on a variety of important issues, it’s no wonder national Democrats are so eager to see her reelected.

“Liberals across the country are pouring money into North Dakota to ensure Heidi Heitkamp will continue to support their out-of-touch priorities at the expense of hardworking North Dakotans,” said NRSC Spokesman Michael McAdams. “While Heitkamp continues to take massive amounts of money from CA, NY and DC, folks in North Dakota are wising up to her phony act and are ready to send her packing this November.”
