Chairman Rick Scott: “Democrats out of touch with Americans” who “don’t want or need more government control of their lives.”
Chairman Doug Ducey: Americans “see the country going in the wrong direction,” never “been a greater contrast between” Republicans and Democrats.
Washington, D.C. – Today, the NRSC and the RGA released a new poll focused on the Democrats’ radical agenda in 2022 Senate and Governor battleground states. The survey found that Americans largely reject the main pillars of the Democrats’ agenda, including wasteful spending, open borders, anti-Israel rhetoric, and Critical Race Theory. The poll also found that Americans are more likely to vote for a Republican candidate who would be a check and balance on the Biden Administration than not. That number is 50% – 31% among Independents.
Statement from NRSC Chairman Rick Scott: “The Biden Administration, along with Democrats in Washington and across the country, are out of touch with Americans. Americans don’t want or need more government control of their lives. In fact, they’re sick of it. We’ve seen this as a consistent trend in the polls we’ve conducted over the last few months. American families all want the same things: freedom and opportunity, jobs, safe communities, a great education for their children, less spending, and smaller government – everything that today’s Democrat Party stands against.
“As Chairman of the NRSC I am confident that if we focus on the issues and get our message out, Republicans will have big wins in 2022 across the country. And I am committed to joining RGA Chairman Doug Ducey in making sure that Americans across the country know what is happening here in Washington and how it affects them in their states.”
RGA Chairman, Governor Doug Ducey made the following statement on this morning’s joint press call: “The poll gives us a lot of optimism for the Governors races across the country. The fact that 62% of independents see the country going in the wrong direction is consequential.
“I don’t think there’s ever been a greater contrast between Republican Governors and Democrat Governors than we have right now. Republican Governors are getting people back to work. Americans vote with their feet, the top 5 states where people are moving to are Republican-led states. The direction of the country favors us.”
