ONE MILLION Ohioans have been contacted through the Portman team’s grassroots door-to-door and phone programs since May.
While the Portman campaign reaches unprecedented milestones, “Retread” Ted Strickland and P.G. Sittenfeld continue to spar in the Democratic Primary:
- Sittenfeld made it official! While many thought he would succumb to the pressure of the Democratic establishment and not challenge Strickland in the primary, he held strong and filed his candidate petitions.
- Shortly after officially filing, Sittenfeld jabbed at Strickland, tweeting, “now that we’ve both officially filed in the #OHSen race, you ready to debate?” Strickland’s debate-dodging hasn’t gone unchecked – a growing chorus is calling for a Democratic Primary debate.
- The Dayton Daily News highlights Retread Ted’s flip-flop on gun policy noting, “voters don’t always reward such flip-flops.”
