Washington, D.C. – Patty Murray is clearly panicking, up with her first TV ad on the air early in the cycle. As pundits declare her incumbency increasingly vulnerable, we have a few questions about the rhetoric in her ad:
- Why is Panicking Patty declaring “things are hard right now”? Only three months ago, she said the Biden administration and Democrats had put the economy “in a better place.”
- Why is Panicking Patty now claiming she supports middle class tax cuts? She supported and voted for Joe Biden’s massive spending spree that includes tax hikes on the middle class to pay for tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires in blue states.
- Why is Panicking Patty now arguing she’s fighting to “bring down prices and lower costs”? She voted for a $1.9 trillion so-called “stimulus” bill that even Joe Biden’s economists admit contributed to record-breaking inflation.
- Why is Panicking Patty asserting that she’ll “stand up to anyone who doesn’t put you first”? Shouldn’t she look in the mirror and her 95% voting record with Joe Biden?
The common answer: Patty Murray is so desperate to hold onto power that she’s resorted to airing an ad that reflects the exact opposite of her record. After nearly four decades as a career politician, it’s no wonder Washington State families are in the market for new representation.
