Washington, D.C. – Inflation remains the chief concern of Americans as we transition into autumn. In fact, according to Gallup, the problem has gotten worse, especially for low- and middle-income Americans.
In response, Americans are cutting back. Additionally, according to a study by New York Life, Americans are withdrawing an average of $616.73 PER MONTH from their savings to cover these increased costs.
While the D.C. media spins a fantasy of a rapidly improving American economy thanks to Democrats, the American people disagree. Pain from prolonged record inflation is being felt more than ever and working families are less economically secure than they have been in a very long time.
Statement from NRSC Spokesman T.W. Arrighi: “Working families are being financially squeezed tighter than they have in decades. Thus far, the response from Democrats in Washington has been to ignore the problem, spend and tax more, and then act like inflation never happened. Well, back in the real world, more and more people are suffering the consequences of failed policies. The status quo is no longer acceptable.”
