Washington, D.C. – Tomorrow is Election Day and Americans are ready to send Democrats packing across the country. Republican enthusiasm is showing up at events and in the latest polls.
According to the latest Wall Street Journal poll, Republicans have gained more and more support as the cycle has gone by from Black and Hispanic voters. The Republican Party is winning support from a larger share of Black voters than in other recent elections and has improved its standing in the past few months among Latino voters, the latest Wall Street Journal poll finds, adding to evidence of the party’s increasing appeal among groups that have overwhelmingly favored Democratic candidates.
According to the latest NBC poll, President Joe Biden’s popularity continues to weigh heavy on voters’ mind as they remain dissatisfied about the direction the country is heading. Still, the overall political environment remains grim for Democrats. Only 44% of voters approve of President Biden’s job performance, while 53% disapprove; more than 70% think the country is headed in the wrong direction; and a combined 81% say they are “very” or “somewhat” dissatisfied with the U.S. economy.
Last but not least, the latest ABC poll shows Republicans still hold an edge on economy and turnout.
One other factor in the GOP’s favor: Republicans continue to be more certain about voting, with 80 percent of Republican-leaning voters saying they are certain to vote or have already done so, slightly higher than 74 percent of Democratic-leaning voters. Certainty to vote among Democrats is eight percentage points lower than in 2018, while holding steady among Republicans.
The attention gap is even wider, with 48 percent of Republican-leaning voters following the election “extremely closely” or “very closely,” compared with 37 percent of Democratic-leaning voters.
These are just a few examples of why the NRSC is confident Republicans will have big wins across the country tomorrow. Americans are fed up with the Democrats’ radical agenda that has taken our country down a dark path of high inflation, crime and open borders. America is ready for a change, and it starts tomorrow at the ballot box.
