Phil Bredesen continues to talk out of both sides of his mouth, releasing a new ad that opens with him saying, “if President Trump proposes something good for Tennessee, I’ll be with him.”
So how does Bredesen explain his opposition to one of President Trump’s signature accomplishments, the GOP tax cuts, which he has gone out of his way to criticize, saying the benefits are “crumbs” for middle-class Tennesseans.
While Tennesseans are seeing bigger paychecks, bonuses and new job opportunities thanks to the tax cuts, Phil Bredesen has joined with Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi to blast the law that is letting people keep more of their hard-earned money.
So much for Bredesen supporting “something good for Tennessee.”
“Phil Bredesen’s vehement opposition to the tax cuts contradicts his phony claim that he’d do anything other than resist President Trump and his agenda in Congress,” said NRSC Spokesman Michael McAdams. “Tennessee voters deserve better than someone who will be a total tool for Chuck Schumer and out-of-touch Washington Democrats.”
