Washington, D.C. – Yesterday, Team Herschel blasted Warnock’s allied dark money group VoteVets for releasing a blatantly false attack ad on Herschel Walker. The slanderous ad claims that Herschel “lied to veterans” but provides no evidence of their false claim.
In fact, the article they cite directly contradicts this claim. It says, “there’s no indication [Herschel Walker] was directly involved in any wrongdoing”.
This defamatory ad is not surprising given VoteVets’ long history of releasing false attack ads against Republican candidates. They are a radical Chuck Schumer-aligned dark money group that will say anything to elect radical Democrats like Raphael Warnock.
The truth is that Raphael Warnock has a terrible record when it comes to supporting veterans. He voted against billions in care programs and facilities to help veterans. And he questioned the faith of U.S. service members and veterans when he said, “you cannot serve God in the military”.
Statement from NRSC Spokesman Jonathan Turcotte: “VoteVets should be ashamed for blatantly lying to Americans about Herschel’s support for veterans. Herschel has been – and always will be – a strong supporter of Americans who served in uniform. Meanwhile, Raphael Warnock attacks their faith and votes to cut funding for veterans’ care facilities. The contrast could not be clearer.”
