Washington, D.C. – Raphael Warnock’s transformation over the course of his limited time in office is nothing short of staggering – and not in a good way.  His brazen flip-flops are purely politically motivated, from his gimmick gas tax holiday to his newfound passion for Title 42.  Here are some of Warnock’s greatest hits:

Immigration/Border Security

February 2021: Warnock votes against an amendment to strengthen the “Stay In Mexico” policy.

August 2021: Warnock votes to end Title 42.

April 2022: Warnock now says it’s the “wrong time” to end Title 42, and he hasn’t “seen a plan that gives [him] comfort.”

Energy/Gas Prices

February 2021: Warnock votes against an amendment to expand the use of natural gas as a means to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

February 2021: Warnock votes against an amendment to continue oil and gas leases on federal land.

February and March 2021: Warnock votes against legislation to prohibit a ban on fracking THREE TIMES

February and March 2021: Warnock votes against advancing the Keystone XL Pipeline FOUR TIMES

March 2022: Warnock introduces a bill to suspend the federal gas tax to offer relief from high energy prices that he helped create.

The sudden reversals this year make his voter ID flip-flop look mild.  The question Georgians are asking is: What will he change his mind on next to save his Senate seat?

Statement from NRSC Spokesman T.W. Arrighi: “Raphael Warnock has taken to the Washington DC swamp very nicely.  He’s already mastered the art of election year pandering and flip-flopping.  Meanwhile, back home, his constituents are suffering through record energy prices and worrying about a worsening crisis at the border – two problems that Warnock helped create.  November can’t come fast enough.”
