Washington, D.C. – A rift is forming between the two Senators from New Hampshire.

Sen. Maggie Hassan has calculated that it is best to keep her head down as Chuck Schumer, and the far-Left that has taken him hostage, try to jam their socialist agenda through Congress.  There is no better example of Hassan’s “stay down, stay safe” mentality than the current debate about linking the bipartisan infrastructure package with the multi-trillion dollar budget reconciliation bill.

Her New Hampshire colleague, Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, on the other hand, has not been so quiet, joining a bipartisan group of legislators in negotiating the infrastructure deal.  Yesterday, she went even further, affirming her belief that the bipartisan package and reconciliation bill should not be linked as Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her “squad” demand:

“I think those of us who worked on this package very much appreciated his taking the time to try and make clear that he supports both packages and he hopes both will go forward, but that they are not linked.”

With so much on the line for New Hampshire, the question Granite Staters want to be answered is, does Maggie Hassan agree with Jeanne Shaheen?

Statement from NRSC Spokesman T.W. Arrighi: “Maggie Hassan is once again being outshined by her delegation colleague.  While Senator Hassan hopes that silence will save her plummeting poll numbers, she is leaving the legislating to Senator Shaheen.  Unfortunately for Hassan, that legislating is also her job and New Hampshire voters do not take kindly to politicians who lack backbone and try to shirk responsibility.”
