Washington, D.C. – Today, The Hill is out with a piece digging into the conclusion of many Nevada Senate race observers: “Signs are emerging that Nevada could see a red wave in November.” Just look at the last month of polling:
It’s not hard to understand why as gas prices have spiked well above $5/gallon in the state, and the economy sputters. Catherine Cortez Masto has voted with Joe Biden 92.7% of the time and Nevadans know she owns his failed agenda.
But as pointed out in the piece by Jon Ralston, Republican legwork has a lot to do with the success being seen on the ground: “They’ve [Republicans] been masterful for several cycles in registering and turning out voters. Now, the registration numbers are not what they used to be. The Democratic lead is much smaller than it usually is this time of year.”
Statement from NRSC Spokesman T.W. Arrighi: “Something big is brewing in Nevada. Fueled by the failures of Joe Biden and Catherine Cortez Masto, and aided by the tremendous legwork of Republican activists in the Silver State. Nevadans are ready for a change and will turn out in a big way for Adam Laxalt.”
