Rob Portman and Retread Ted Strickland met with the Cleveland.com and Plain Dealer editorial board yesterday – and Strickland crumbled under pressure.

When Portman pointed out a series of controversial remarks that Strickland has made throughout the campaign, Strickland became agitated as he tried to defend his litany of gaffes – celebrating Justice Scalia’s death as “happening at a good time,” using fortune cookies as a political gimmick that offended Asian Americans, and claiming that Ohio taxpayers have been “raped” by charter schools.

In addition to his uncomfortable performance last night Strickland STILL hasn’t released his fundraising numbers.

With Strickland’s democratic allies absent from the advertising landscape, his fundraising report becomes all the more important.
