Workers across Ohio are beginning to see the effects of the Republican tax cuts in the form of bigger paychecks, leaving Sherrod Brown struggling to explain his vote against the law.

A new report from the Butler County Auditor illustrates just how big the savings will be. The report shows that county employees will see an estimated $2.1 million in tax savings this year, an average of more than $1,040 per worker. These tax savings come in addition to the bonuses and pay raises that have been announced by more than 300 companies, including Shaffer Corp, the Blue Ash company President Trump is visiting today that provided $1,000 bonuses to its 126 employees. While that may seem like “crumbs” to Washington Democrats like Nancy Pelosi and Sherrod Brown, it will make a major difference in the lives of Ohio families.

“Career politician Sherrod Brown’s vote against the tax cuts and bonuses that are already helping Ohioans will not be forgotten by voters in November,” said NRSC Spokesman Bob Salera. “Instead of joining Republicans in putting more money in Ohio families’ pockets, Brown voted with Chuck Schumer and Washington Democrats in support of higher taxes on workers and businesses alike.”
