Washington, D.C. – Today is Tax Day which is also known as Democrats’ favorite day of the year. It’s their favorite day of the year because Senate Democrats have already raised taxes on millions of Americans through their reckless spending sprees. And if they got their way, they would raise taxes on even more middle-class Americans.
Here’s how Senate Democrats are raising taxes on Americans:
- They want U.S. job creators to pay higher taxes than China, which would kill thousands of good-paying U.S. jobs.
- Senate Democrats’ radical tax-and-spending spree includes 40-plus tax hikes. Making it the largest tax increase in decades.
- Joe Biden said he wouldn’t raise taxes on anyone making less than $400,000 per year, but he’s already violated that pledge.
- Democrats want to raise taxes on small businesses that are still struggling to recover from the pandemic.
- Democrat tax hikes would cut the GDP by 0.4%, shrink wages by 0.4%, and kill 64,000 jobs.
- Biden’s Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg said they were looking at a gas tax and “vehicle miles tax.”
- Job creators in Arizona sounded the alarm on Joe Biden and Mark Kelly’s tax hikes, saying they will hurt Arizonans.
- Pennsylvania Democrat Senate hopeful Conor Lamb admitted that Democrats would have to raise taxes on the middle class to pay for their reckless spending.
- Joe Biden and Senate Democrats’ Build Back Broke agenda would raise taxes on 30% of the middle class.
All of these radical tax hikes are in addition to a Democrat tax that is already crushing Americans’ pocketbooks: record inflation. According to estimates from Bloomberg Economics, the average U.S. household will pay $5,200 more this year because of Biden and Senate Democrats’ inflation.
And while Joe Biden and Senate Democrats work to raise taxes on the middle class, they’re working even harder to cut taxes for their rich friends in Schumer’s New York and Pelosi’s California.
One thing is clear: if Democrats are still in power next year, Tax Day will be much, much worse for hardworking Americans.
