Washington, D.C. – The Biden-Kelly border crisis isn’t just a humanitarian issue that’s overwhelming border towns, it’s a national security issue. Last month, Border Patrol agents arrested 12 illegal immigrants who are on the terror watch list bringing the total for FY ’22 to 78. To put things in perspective, 26 terrorists were arrested crossing the border in the previous 5 years COMBINED.
While record numbers of terrorists are being caught at the border, record numbers of illegal immigrants are evading capture. 900,000 illegal border crossers have evaded capture in the past 2 years. The combination of terrorists attempting to enter the country and an unprecedent number of illegal immigrants evading capture creates a dangerous situation. Not just at the Southern Border, but across the whole country.
