Senator Tester must be having a bit of amnesia after a long night at his $1,000,000 Washington, D.C. “castle.” Last night in an interview with National Journal, Senator Tester gave effusive praise for Senate Democrats’ leader, Chuck Schumer, saying Schumer “never” pressured him on a vote.
What a joke.
Senator Tester must have forgotten about his and Schumer’s lavish $15,000 vacation to Cancun together or the fact that Tester votes with Schumer at least 89% of the time. He also must have forgotten that Schumer has donated $35,000 to Tester’s campaign or the minimum $1.4 million Schumer’s super PACs have already spent this year propping up Tester’s re-election bid.
But maybe he’s right. After so many years of sucking up to Democratic leadership and Washington special interests… maybe Schumer doesn’t even need to pressure Tester to vote like a liberal anymore.
“Senator Tester should cut the crap and come clean about his record of sucking up to Washington liberals like Chuck Schumer,” said NRSC Spokesman Calvin Moore. “Tester’s long-forgotten his Montana values and preferred instead to get cozy in the swamp. Montana voters will see through his phony act and vote him out this November.”
