Washington, D.C. – Democrats are having a hard time appealing to voters these days, especially in rural areas of the country, as reported by Axios. Their party is so out of touch with voters in their states that Ohio Congressman Tim Ryan is ashamed to admit that he is a Democrat to Ohioans.
As Axios notes, Ryan released a 3-minute ad for his Senate campaign and purposely excluded his party affiliation. His campaign strategists must’ve told him that he can’t win over Ohioans as a liberal Democrat.
Statement from NRSC Spokeswoman Lizzie Litzow: “Democrats in Washington and across the country are out of touch with Americans. Our polling shows that Americans don’t want or need more government control of their lives, as the Democrats’ agenda dictates. In fact, they’re sick of it and senate candidates are catching on. Tim Ryan went so far as to hide his party affiliation, ashamed of the path his party is leading us down. I guess we would be too.”
