Washington, D.C. – As Val Demings said herself, “The best indicator of future performance is to look at past performance.” Once again she’s showing Florida that her future performance would be a disaster.
Last week, Demings joined Democrats in opposing a commonsense amendment put forward by Rubio that would prohibit imports from China made with Uyghur slave labor and hold the Communist regime accountable. She’s now on week two of attacking Senator Rubio for standing up for human rights in Communist China. Why? That’s a very good question.
It’s the latest screw up by Val Demings on foreign policy. Let’s look back at Val’s record so far:
- Silent on President Biden’s plan to remove the Colombian rebel group FARC from its list of foreign terrorist organizations.
- Silent on President Biden’s disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan
- Silent on the Cuba embargo
- Silent on anti-Semitic rhetoric by Democrat caucus
- Silent on helping America’s greatest Middle East ally, Israel
Statement from NRSC Spokeswoman Priscilla Ivasco: “What does Val Demings’ past performance reveal? That Demings is not ready for primetime. Every time she tries to weigh in on foreign policy, she shoots herself in the foot. While Marco Rubio is focused on fighting every day for Florida families and protecting human rights across the globe, Demings is putting her Party’s agenda first. Party over people doesn’t work for Florida.
