Washington, D.C – Today, the Senate Rules Committee is holding a hearing on the recent election security bill that was signed into law in Georgia. The hearing comes just days after the MLB All-Star Game, an event that was run out of Georgia by Senator Raphael Warnock and other pro-boycott radicals who spread lies about Georgia’s election security law.
Not only did the MLB’s boycott cost the Atlanta area $100 million, but the arguments against the Georgia election security law used by Warnock and Stacey Abrams were pure fiction. They straight-up lied. In fact, Senator Warnock even ADMITTED he used false information to smear the law. Making matters more, Warnock also tried to falsely claim that he has never opposed voter ID rules, a core component of Georgia’s election law that was used as a wedge to force businesses to boycott the state.
Today’s hearing will no doubt be some dramatic political theater by Democrats, and Senator Warnock will continue to lie about an election law that is popular in his state.
Statement from NRSC Spokesman T.W. Arrighi: “Using a congressional hearing as his soapbox, Raphael Warnock will again try to smear Georgia’s popular election security law and lie about what’s in it. It will all be in vain, however, as Georgians already know he is full of it. He has lied and spun his way into misleading voters about a bill they know is commonsense. The more Warnock talks about this law, the deeper the hole he digs himself.”
