Washington, D.C. – Raphael Warnock is working overtime to keep up the fight for S.1, the “Corrupt Politicians Act,” a bill that would ban voter ID, strip states of control over their own elections, use taxpayer money to fund his campaign to the tune of $25 million, mandate ballot harvesting, and far more. In order to keep up the fight, Warnock continues to lie about Georgia’s election reform law, which Georgians support. Keep in mind, this lie also cost his state over $100 million in economic revenue as well as the MLB All-Star Game.
Making matters worse, Warnock and his fellow congressional Democrats continue to lie about where they stand on voter ID laws. Last month, Warnock shamelessly flip-flopped on his stance on Voter ID. This weekend, Congressman Jim Clyburn was given four Pinocchios for his claim that no Democrat ever opposed voter ID laws, even though he himself called such laws “voter suppression” less than a year ago.
If you’re dizzy from all this liberal spin, you are not alone.
Statement from NRSC Spokesman T.W. Arrighi: “Raphael Warnock is clinging onto a sinking ship called the Corrupt Politicians Act and believes he can salvage the situation by continuing to lie to the people of Georgia. He must think Georgians are stupid. Unfortunately for him, the facts are on our side. Georgia’s election reforms are supported by Warnock’s constituents, he has long opposed voter ID, and no taxpayer wants to hand him $25 million to fund his campaign ads. The longer Warnock adds fuel to this fight, the more likely he’ll lose re-election next November.”
