Washington, D.C. – Either Raphael Warnock is lying, or…well, he’s most definitely not telling the truth.

Every time Warnock has been given the chance to explain the eviction notices that the building his church owns sent during the pandemic, he has flailed.

  • During the debate, when asked to explain the evictions when he receives a housing allowance over $7,000 (well over the sum total of past-due rents), he refused to answer the question. Instead, he claimed the assertion was an attack on Ebenezer Baptist Church.
  • Days later, while at Morehouse College, he was asked if he bore any responsibility as he leads the Church that owns the low-income housing building. He again didn’t answer the question.
  • Yesterday, Warnock claimed that any questions into how his church has managed the housing building, including evictions, is an attempt to sully the name of the late, great Martin Luther King Jr. who was assassinated 55 years ago – a year before Warnock was even born, and when Herschel was only six years old. Watch HERE.

It’s clear that Warnock has no idea how to handle this issue because he is in the wrong. Instead of owning his past mistakes, as Herschel has time and time again thanks to relentless, breathless media coverage over every small detail of his life, Warnock is flailing.

Statement from NRSC Spokesman T.W. Arrighi: “The wheels are coming off the Raphael Warnock bus as Georgians are beginning to realize he isn’t the modern-day saint that he makes himself out to be.  By continuously using the name of Martin Luther King Jr. and Ebenezer Baptist Church as a shield, Warnock is showing just how much trouble he is in.  Georgians will not stand for such dishonesty from a sitting U.S. Senator and pastor at such an historic church.”
