Washington, D.C. – Last night, the U.S. Senate voted to revoke the anti-science mask mandate at federal transportation hubs.
Surprisingly, eight Democrats joined Republicans in this effort – unsurprisingly, many of them are facing tough re-elections. However, one name was glaringly absent from the list of Democrats voting in favor of science and removing the mask mandate: Georgia’s Raphael Warnock.
That’s right, despite the science and his state’s disapproval of such mandates, Warnock toed the party line as instructed by Chuck Schumer and Bernie Sanders.
Earlier this month, Democrats UNANIMOUSLY voted to keep vaccine mandates in place, costing many Americans their livelihoods.
Statement from NRSC Spokesman T.W. Arrighi: “Raphael Warnock likes to see himself as a Senator that bucks convention. Last night, Warnock bucked scientific convention and the prevailing opinion of his state when he voted to uphold the mask mandate at federal transportation hubs. While continuing the mandate makes little to no sense, especially in Georgia where masks are mandated nowhere else, Warnock stuck by his leader Chuck Schumer, and his base’s leader Bernie Sanders, and voted to keep a stupid mandate in place. If there was ever a vote that is a microcosm of the problems with Warnock’s time in the Senate, it is this one.”
