- During his tenure in the Senate, Washington Joe voted with Barack Obama 83% of the time, and has voted with Minority Leader Chuck Schumer 81% of the time.
- Between 2010 and 2016, more than two-thirds of Washington Joe’s campaign donations have come from outside West Virginia.
- Washington Joe’s loyalty has been paid back by Senate Democrats’ radical leadership. Current minority leader Chuck Schumer has donated $30,000 to Manchin, and former Minority Leader Harry Reid donated $20,000.
- After last year’s election, Washington Joe was named as part of Senate Democrats’ leadership team, joining such far-left favorites as Schumer, Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren and Vermont socialist Bernie Sanders.
