If you’re Sherrod Brown, you apparently can learn enough about a Supreme Court nominee to reject him. After President Trump nominated Judge Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court, most of the Senate, including many leading Democrats held off judgment, promising to review the nominee’s record before making a decision. But not Sherrod Brown! It took Brown all of eleven minutes to announce his opposition to Judge Gorsuch.
A new print ad from the NRSC, running in today’s Youngstown Vindicator targets Sherrod Brown for his blind opposition to Judge Neil Gorsuch. The ad informs voters of Brown’s knee-jerk decision, and calls on them to tell Brown to respect their choice. Today’s ad is part of an aggressive, ongoing national paid media campaign targeting Red State Senate Democrats.
“It’s shameful that it took Sherrod Brown just eleven minutes to push aside the views of Ohioans,” said NRSC Spokesman Bob Salera. “If Sherrod Brown refuses to honor the will of his constituents, who voted for President Trump and wanted him to nominate someone to the Supreme Court, Ohio voters will replace him with someone who will.”
