Today marks the six-month anniversary of the GOP tax cuts being signed into law, and despite the radical doomsday rhetoric Sherrod Brown and Washington Democrats used to oppose the legislation, the tax cuts have already delivered massive benefits to Ohioans.
Thus far, the tax cuts have led to bigger paychecks, new job opportunities and massive company investments in their workforces. Yet, Brown hasn’t voiced a single regret about his irresponsible decision to deny middle-class families the ability to keep more of their hard-earned money. Instead, he has sat and watched, as Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi have promised to rip away the economic benefits Ohioans are seeing as a result of the tax cuts.
“After denying Ohioans the opportunity to keep more of their hard-earned money, it’s clear the last thing voters can trust Sherrod Brown on is what to do with their money,” said NRSC Spokesman Bob Salera. “When folks cast their ballots this November they are going to be thinking about the extra cash in their pockets and the reality that Brown and his Democratic colleagues want to take that away.”
