Senator Tester’s week just isn’t getting any better for him. This morning, in an interview with a statewide Montana radio program “Montana Talks”, White House Legislative Affairs Director Marc Short slammed Senator Tester for his constant pattern of obstruction in Washington and indicated Trump may soon be headed to Big Sky Country.
In the interview, the White House Legislative Affairs Director blasts Tester for his hypocritical attempts to cozy up to the Administration he constantly opposes.
“Senator Tester likes to have an image back home as being bipartisan and working with both sides, but this isn’t the first [time]. I mean he voted against Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court, he voted against Mike Pompeo for both director of the CIA and to be Secretary of State… and the record goes on and on and on. And I think what you have is simply somebody who is fallen in line with Senator Schumer’s obstruction pattern against our nominees.” (click here to listen to full interview)
Asked if President Trump would be making a stop in Montana this year, Short replied:
“He (President Trump) is very excited. We were just having a meeting about that earlier this morning, about trying to find a time… I hope that your listeners will look forward to seeing him sometime very soon.”
Senator Tester’s decision to spread misinformation about a decorated veteran is coming back to bite him big time. The continuing pressure from President Trump, who remains a popular figure in the state which he won by 20 points, only continues to make Tester’s chances this November all the more difficult.
