The Washington Free Beacon reports that Ruben Gallego just sought a last-minute appeal to the Arizona Supreme Court to block his divorce records from being unsealed.

Last week, the Court of Appeals ruled that Gallego had to unseal the divorce records and make them public, despite Gallego spending hundreds of thousands of dollars trying to keep them hidden from the public over the course of one of this cycle’s top Senate races.

NRSC Statement: “Why is Ruben Gallego shelling out hundreds of thousands of dollars to keep the details of him abandoning his pregnant wife hidden from the press? What is in that file that is so damaging that Ruben would spend hundreds of thousands of dollars covering it up?” — NRSC Spokesman Tate Mitchell
